Whitney Waldon Collier
My name is Whitney Waldon Collier, and I’m proud to call Loachapoka, Alabama—just outside of Auburn—my hometown. Growing up a true country girl, I learned early on the value of community, connection, and hard work. I carried those values with me to Alabama A&M University, where I became a proud Bulldog and began my journey into the field of education.
I began my career as a first grade teacher, a role that shaped my heart and will always be part of who I am. For seven years, I had the joy of helping young learners build their foundation in literacy, confidence, and character. My passion for reading and student success eventually led me to serve as a literacy specialist for two years, where I worked to support both teachers and students in creating engaging, effective reading experiences. My last stop was an assistant principal and I had the opportunity to lead, engage and inspire an awesome group of educators.
Throughout my career, I’ve served in both Huntsville City Schools and Madison County Schools, gaining a wide range of experiences and building lasting relationships with students, families, and colleagues. I have a deep love for instruction, a strong commitment to fostering positive learning environments, and a genuine passion for building meaningful relationships.
I currently live in the community, with my wonderful husband and our two beautiful daughters. I am so excited and honored to serve this amazing community. Please know that if I can support you in any way, I am always just a message or call away!
