Bio:

 

Mrs. Smith's career in education began in 2010.  She has served as a science teacher at Buckhorn Middle School and later as instructional coach at Sparkman Middle School.  In 2018, Mrs. Smith was selected as Madison County School's Secondary Teacher of the Year as well as a "Sweet Sixteen" finalist for Alabama's Teacher of the Year.  

 

Highlights of Mrs. Smith's career include a Model Professional Learning Community designation, CLAS School of Distinction, and organizing a school appearance on NBC's Today Show.    

 

Mrs. Smith believes in the power of life-long learning and hopes to inspire every student to reach for the stars! She looks forward to working collaboratively with students, teachers, caregivers, and the Hazel Green community to positively and successfully navigate each student's journey.
